Why Use Waterjets for your product? Sharpline Industrial is equiped with the A-Jet Omax Abrasive Waterjet system. The A-Jet can easily cut beveled edges, angled sides, and countersinks. Our A-Jet Omax Waterjet system is a complete software-controlled multi-axis cutting head that greatly expands the versatility of the OMAX JetMachining Center. With a cutting range from 0° to 60°. Sharpline Industrial utilizes the Intelli-MAX Software Suite that will allow the A-Jet to compensate for taper and easily create complex 3D shapes. With its inherent high level of positioning accuracy, and is capable of cutting parts that require no secondary finishing, significantly reducing part production time.

Sharpline Industrial uses the A-Jet Omax Abrasive Waterjet system to complement their manufacturing processes. Sharpline Industrial can quickly produce a complete final part, ready to go. We can also produce a semi-finished or near-net-shape blank part suitable for secondary processing by conventional means. The abrasive waterjet process does not affect material properties, so the efficiency of conventional processes is not degraded.

Flexible and Versatile

A waterjet utilizes a high pressure stream of water to erode a narrow line in the stock material. To cut a wider range of materials from tool steel to titanium to foam, a granular abrasive is added to the waterjet, increasing the cutting power. This flexibility greatly enhances the versatility of a waterjet machine, as it can easily switch from cutting ½” (1.27cm) foam gaskets to 4” (10.16cm) titanium brackets.

3D Machining

Through advanced yet easy-to-use software enhancements such as XData, the A-Jet is capable of cutting complex three dimensional shapes quickly and accurately. Simply set the cutting angle to the drawing entity, and the software automatically sets the A-Jet to accurately and quickly cut the shape.

Taper Compensation

The A-Jet is capable of fully automatic taper compensation, resulting in parts with square edges. Taper compensation is fully software controlled and requires no extra programming, simplifying production and reducing secondary machining.

No heat-affected zone (HAZ)

Waterjet cutting does not heat your part there is not thermal distortion, which can occur with lasers. Waterjets do not change the properties of the material.
